Dear Jessica Brennan,

When we cut ourselves, we wash the wound, mabe say a few colourful words, put a bandage on, and our bodies immediately start to heal so that in time, we can forget about the pain completely.

When we give birth, we go to hell and back, experience a great deal of pain, but once the baby is born, our bodies immediately start to repair the damage and many women say, they can’t remember the pain at all.

Pull out a sliver, have major surgery, walk into the rocking chair in bare feet, whatever we do, it smarts for a bit and then our body immediately starts to repair the wound so that we in time forget about it all together.

Wouldn’t it be something if we could do the same with emotional wounds, particularly the ones known as grudges?

Love,

Mum xo
