Dear Jessica Brennan,
I went to the village to get my hair done last Sunday, and when I came out of the salon, my car was trapped in a section of the street that had been cordoned off with barricades for an event.
As the only car on the street, I wondered how on earth I would get out. I was parked in front of a tent promoting the London Environmental Network, so I asked the woman in the booth what was happening.Â
She said (coolly), “It’s World Car Free Day.”
Thanks to the volunteer who helped me creep through the barriers in my drive of shame.
Love,
Mum xo
