Dear Jessica Brennan,
The other day, Dad was sitting in the sunroom while I was two rooms away in the kitchen.
Dad said: Have you seen that pill?
I heard: Have you seen that girl?
My reply: What girl?
Dad heard: What pill?
Dad replied: The one that was just sitting there?
Me (he’s finally lost it): Just sitting there? Where?
Dad: Just sitting there.
Me (With a cool cloth in my hand, walking into the sunroom): Did you just see a girl sitting there?
Dad, cautiously: There’s no girl sitting there, Sharon. Did you just see a girl sitting there?
Sigh.
Love,
Mum xo
